Super-high-quality, well-designed water-resistant backpack

Love this. Great features, great attention to detail in the quality of the straps, closures, stitching, storage areas for wet and dry separation. The options for carrying with handle or via backpack straps is great. There's an included shoulder type strap as well. I did not do any actual water-resistance testing, but I can say from looking at the closures that they are very similar to other water-resistant containers I own and use. This is a HUGE upgrade for the typical swim bag or beach bag. You have areas for your dry clothing, snacks, etc. and for isolation of your wet items (very generous wet storage) after you're in the water. The structure of the backpack is outstanding--very firm, unyielding, easy to make use of every cubic centimeter of the space. Love the hard plastic strips on the underside so that--if you need to set the backpack down and a moist surface--only those points touch the surface. The outside pockets are convenient as well for quick access to electronics, etc. Highly recommend this!

Large surf, beach, or boat bag

This is a great backpack for the beach, pool, kayaking, or anywhere I’m going to end up with wet clothes. The wet/dry separation is my favorite feature because I can keep a wet swimsuit or wetsuit away from my phone, wallet, extra clothes, and everything else I want to keep dry. It’s definitely roomy enough to carry everything I need without being too huge or awkward to carry. But note that it’s about the size of carryon luggage so it’s not ideal for wearing on your back for long periods of time. The backpack style is more convenient than a regular beach bag, especially when I need my hands free to carry other things. The water-resistant material makes sense for a bag that’s going to be around pools, boats, and beaches, and it’s easy to wipe clean afterward. This will definitely be coming with me on beach trips and anywhere I’m surfing or doing water activities.

Cavernous interior with dry pouch in the lid

The back pack straps are actually the top. There’s tracks on the bottom with a knobby texture and zippered pouch (probably for the shoulder strap if not used). Shoulder straps are detachable and adjustable. Inside space is massive and pretty much engineered for wet stuff with a separate dry pocket with a full-length zipper. Internal sides have mesh pouches as well. There is a carry handle on the very top. The side pocket has a soft lining, some place great for phone and keys. Nylon outer has a bit of texture to it. Top zipper also appears to be waterproof. Mostly black. Comes 9th its own storage bag or can be used as an accessory storage bag.

Water resistant backpack

A different kind of backpack. Feels well made and durable. Has a premium look and feel. I like it’s made from water resistant materials and a separate section for wet items. Not too many pockets on this one. Has a nice storage pocket for your glasses or shades. I like the design of this backpack. It opens like a suitcase and has a lot of useful space. Great for traveling and a useful carry on.I like how well constructed this backpack is but more pockets to store small items is needed. It’s very pricey for a backpack but I really like the suitcase type of opening.

For Those Days When Your Laptop Has to Go Everywhere, Including Through the Rain

There's nothing quite like running through an airport or getting caught in a sudden downpour and remembering that your laptop, charger, and everything else you need are sitting inside your backpack. That's why water resistance matters to me. I travel with electronics and work equipment, and I want a backpack that can transition from an airport to a meeting, then into a hotel without looking like something I'd take mountain climbing.I would still distinguish water-resistant from waterproof. I wouldn't deliberately leave this outside in a rainstorm or assume everything inside could survive submersion. The ideal buyer is someone who travels, commutes, or carries electronics regularly and wants protection from ordinary weather without carrying an oversized travel bag.
